Mid-term Audits Explained
Overview
Registered NDIS providers are required to undertake a mid-term audit within 18 months from the date of registration, as shown on the certificate of registration. Completing the midterm audit by the due date is a condition of maintaining your registration as an NDIS provider.
Mid-term audits are only for certified providers who have already received their registration and take place in person by an approved auditor, 18 months after registration has been received. The mid-term audit will evaluate how effectively you are delivering your services to NDIS participants.
The NDIS mid-term audit provides an excellent opportunity to evaluate your business’s performance and identify potential areas for improvement.
The scope of the mid-term audit will be proportionate to the size and scope of your services.

The audit assesses how effectively you are delivering your services to NDIS participants and identifies any areas for improvement.

The primary objective of the audit is to evaluate the effectiveness and implementation of the NDIS provider’s systems. The main focus of the mid-term audit is to ascertain whether the provider has maintained an up-to-date management system that meets the required application criteria.
